HOT BAMBOO MASSAGE

The ultimate heated deep tissue treatment.

Treatment description and therapist thoughts

If you are after a deep treatment then this is the one for you, I can get much deeper pressure using the bamboo than I can with my hands. It is a truly lovely therapy.

This is a heated treatment which uses steamed bamboo sticks of varying lengths and diameters to get much deeper pressure than in normal massage. The heat can help the muscles to relax whilst the bamboo can get much deeper into the muscle. if you like a heated treatment and a much stronger treatment then hot bamboo massage is the one for you. A deep tissue massage that promotes circulation and lymphatic drainage, as well as a deep sense of relaxation and well-being.

You can also request that we combine the hot bamboo with hot stones and have a sticks and stones massage, where you get the best of both of our heated treatments.

We tailor all treatments to create a massage to suit you and give you the best possible experience!

History

Bamboo fusion massage was patented as a therapy in 2004 by the French therapist Nathelie Cecilia living in Florida at the time. She had started using the bamboo to help her hands and wrist which were hurting during deep tissue work as the bamboo gave her more strength and stamina to apply deeper pressure. Whilst it was patented in 2004 it is likely to have originated many thousands of years ago in countries where bamboo grows naturally.
