OUR STORY SO FAR

Kerry Wallace mFHT started working the Flixton Osteopathic clinic back in 2005 with Charlotte and the other amazing Osteopaths. Her ambition was always to make the clinic feel like a second home, with amazing colleagues and clients, making her and everyone around her feel like part of a community.

In 2012 whilst teaching one of her first courses she met Natalie, after the course ended Natalie stayed in touch and regularly booked treatments in with Kerry and acted as a model for more of her courses. She also booked onto more of Kerry’s courses and eventually did her Thai massage course.

After the Thai massage course Natalie and Kerry stayed friends and booked swaps in with each other, then back in 2017, Kerry asked if Natalie would like to do some weekend work for her, so she could offer more weekend availability with Manchester Body Balance. Natalie accepted and started building her own client base within the business.

Fast forward to 2021, we are mid-way through the Pandemic and Kerry is looking to move to Ireland. She initially asks Natalie to take over the business full time and after careful deliberation, Natalie declines. She has a thriving business on the Fylde Coast and wasn’t quite ready to move back to Manchester.

Kerry then offers the business to a few other therapists who all say they’d like to do a few days a week but not full time. During a conversation, Natalie suggests, getting someone to buy the business and run it by getting a team in to work there day to day, and so the current business model was born. There was only one person who was the obvious answer for taking over the business and that was Natalie. Her organisation skills and flare for the creative and social media mean she is able to make Manchester Body Balance stand out from the crowd and build on the reputations of the amazing therapists that work there.

After much too-ing and fro-ing and, meetings with solicitors, accountants, the clinic owner, perspective therapists and contracts and policies galore it was agreed that on 1st September 2021, Natalie officially took over running Manchester Body Balance with a team of 4 amazing therapists, all working a few days a week. This team of therapists have either been trained by Kerry or have worked alongside her for many years. These therapists were hand-picked by Kerry and so have her full confidence, and they will bring and exciting new range of treatments and styles to the room too!

The new team and Natalie wanted to honour the ethos and community that Kerry has built and maintain as much of that as possible whilst also bringing in their own flare to the room and business.

This is our story so far but its definitely doesn’t end there……..
